This website provides information on grants from The Leadership Grants Organization of Canada.

The Leadership Grants Organization is a newly registered non-profit funding organization (Registration No.: 4537467) that provides cash awards and in-kind resources to small business owners and entrepreneurs to start or grow a small business in Canada.

Proceeds are allocated on a discretionary basis contingent upon the applicant demonstrating confidence, initiative, preparedness and a reasonable likelihood of future success. Grant funds allow small business operators to procure needed resources such as goods, services, equipment, inventory, advice, training and professional assistance.

Grant resources are funded by corporate sponsors with a mandate to encourage, promote, assist and further the proliferation of Independent Free Enterprise. There is no fee to apply for a Leadership Grant and recipients are not required to repay Grant proceeds.

Each year, Leadership Grants Organization will award many Grants and in-kind awards to entrepreneurs with viable business ideas ranging from work-at-home projects to multi-location enterprises.

Funding for Business Initiatives
Because Leadership Grants are intended to support free enterprise initiatives, grant proceeds are not available for the purpose of satisfying personal debts, even if the intended allocation of the proceeds are applied to discharge personal debt instruments or lines of credit that would then be used to start or grow a small business.

Similarly, Leadership Grants are not provided to purchase or acquire an existing business, or to buy-out a business partner. Proceeds must be used for legitimate costs associated with starting a new business or growing an existing small business.
